21st Birthday

You have been waiting 21 years for this day to arrive; you are finally an adult! You have been flying under the law for a while now, but you are officially legal ready to conquer the next chapter of your life. Stories of day long hangovers, epic bar crawls and other shenanigans roam through your mind as you plan on what to do during this special occasion. Planning the epic night ahead requires a bit of planning, whether you are heading out to party, throwing one at home with friends or even doing something else. Making sure the night goes smoothly and most importantly, safely is key to having a splendid time.

Here are some ways that you can celebrate this once in a lifetime moment:

1. Head to a club or bar with friends

Your friends will probably pressure you to drink as much as possible handing you shots every minute. Try hopping to a few different clubs or bar-crawl during the night sipping drinks while you’re at it. Have some funds lying around? Rent a limo to take you and are friends downtown or anywhere else your night takes you. Make sure if you plan on drinking, to have a designated driver ready.

2. Travel

If your funds allow it, jetting off somewhere is one the best ways to celebrate your 21st. Nothing is better than hanging out with your closest friends on foreign land soaking up the sun and indulging on all the food you care for. A popular location abroad is Cancun, Mexico home to lovely beaches, while top spots in the US include Las Vegas or Hollywood, CA.

3. Dinner party

Not feeling like hitting the bar or dancing all night at the clubs? Getting a big group of friends together and family members if they are around is a great way to celebrate this occasion. Not only will you most likely not have to pay for dinner, but you will be the center of attention all night indulging on great food and talking to everyone there. Some restaurants may do special things for those who turn 21. Typically, your friends may surprise you taking out somewhere only to find everyone else waiting at the restaurant for you to arrive.

4. House party

Having a costume themed party, dressing up weirder than you would normally do is a cool way to have fun on your birthday night. Some party themes include toga party, Throwbox or even ABC type party. You may spend the night taking hundreds of time lapse photos, playing drinking games or even kicking out people when the time comes. Your neighbors may not be happy campers during the night, so keep the volume down.
