Looking for tenants for two new co-ops. Centrally located, the property is on the National Register of Historic Places. The main house is eight bedrooms and four bathrooms. The brand new “carriage house” is six bedrooms and three bathrooms. The renovation and the new build have been done to a high standard. Furnished with queen-sized beds and generous closet space. Bedroom sizes range from 150 to 250 square feet. Lots of big windows. Common spaces including laundry rooms, living rooms, large communal dining rooms and gourmet kitchens. Plenty of dry storage.
In the Victorian, insulation and energy upgrades were done by Snug Planet. The new build is a super-greenCarina design. Large solar array by Renovus. Both houses are fossil-fuel-free, with ductless minisplits for individually-controlled heating and AC. All new electric, plumbing, and sprinkler systems.
The houses will be two separate co-ops that share the fenced-in private outdoor space (barbeque/patio, raised-bed planters, bike storage). The entire property is completely non-smoking. Pet policy can be set by mutual agreement of the co-op members, with a limit of two (dogs/cats) per house. The property is designed without cars (easy walk to the bus hub etc.), but there should be room for two-four cars in the driveway in the event that the tenants want to keep a shared vehicle or two.
Rent of $650 per month is per bedroom and includes all utilities and internet. If you wish to be the “anchor tenant” of one of these households, you can put together your group according to your needs (eg, pet policy, shared cooking/style of cuisine, schedule, social focus of the community, etc).
